Benghazi, a Terrible Inconvenience

“We were not informed…we knew nothing”…The administration clung to the claim that the attack sprung from a protest over an anti-Islam film. There followed the demonization of the film maker, and Hillary Clinton’s shameful assurance to Charles Woods, the father of the slain former Navy SEAL, “We will make sure the person who made that film is arrested and prosecuted.” He was arrested is still incarcerated. Mr Obama appeared on Letterman and Univision to blame the film. This tale Libyan President Mohammed el-Megarif scornfully and forcefully rejected. “The idea that this criminal and cowardly act was a spontaneous protest that just spun out of control is completely unfounded and preposterous!” Three Generals and one Admiral were sacked because they wanted to tell the truth regarding the Commander in Chief’s orders to do nothing, to “Stand Down” during the seven hours the Ambassador and the former Navy Seals were fighting for their lives. The four, General Carter Ham, Admiral Charles Gaouette, General William “Kip” Ward, and General Ralph Baker, were each in their own way desirous to get military assets to the scene. The four are something neither this president not his acolytes will ever understand; warriors. As such, their every desire was to go to the aid of fellow warriors. Former Seal Tyrone Woods, used a laser designator to pin-point the location of the mortar “walking”its shells toward him, but airborne assets which could have taken out the mortar which eventually killed him were among those told to “Stand Down”. Later we listened as the president made his customary pledge: “Let me assure the American people that justice will be done.” It is unfortunate for the American people (Democrats, Libertarians, Republicans) that this president sees every thing through political lens, even the brutal rape, torture, and murder, of our ambassador, a Democrat. Those in the military, and, hopefully, most Americans, view it for what it was, the murder of Americans by animals in human form. Benghazi, happening when it did, was a terrible inconvenience which might have cost an election. Warriors were ordered to do something that goes against the grain of every warrior; to leave fellow warriors behind. For such infamy, the president has earned the opprobrium of every soldier, marine, naval person, or airman who calls himself/herself a warrior. A year has passed. Special Ops folks in the region identified Benghazi related targets months ago. Arrests? Deadly force? We shall not hold our breath. Well did He whose name this president seems loathe to mention, say of such: “So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.” (Rev 3:16)
