We need to stick that statement on our bath room mirrors: “I’m not begging my lords for mercy…I’m a free born citizen…I’m telling my government you’ve forgotten your place!” Indeed we are coming to the time spoken of by Thomas Jefferson, when he said that “Tyranny is defined as that which is legal for the government but illegal for the citizenry.” Anyone who has witnessed the IRS put chains and locks on the doors of a popular diner whilst its customers were yet present, will be inclined to side with Senator Ted Cruz in his bid to shut down the IRS. We are correct to ask; “if not us, who gave this government entity (the IRS) such tyrannical power?
