It was Frank Sinatra who sang, toward the end of his life the song, “I Did It My Way”. Yes, a moving song, and a lot of pride and bravado from Ole Frank, but I’m reminded of the fellow who devoted his life to climbing a ladder, only to find in the end that he had leaned it against the wrong wall. It is an irrefutable truth that our Creator would have us put family first. If, for the sake of career and personal ambition, we sacrifice time which could be spent with our little ones, we shall come to rue that decision. Time we ought spend with our children is priceless. Once gone, it will never return. And then, how bitter shall be our regret! The time to love our children is now, while there is still time.
